Hello everyone,
Today I am going to talk about my favourite television
show, in this case a television series.
Well, my favourite series is Courage the Cowardly Dog
It tells the story of a dog named Courage and its
owners: Muriel and Eustace, who live in a house with a connected garage near
the fictional city of Nowhere, Kansas.
The plot generally uses conventions common to horror
movies. Courage has the task of protecting their elderly owners from such
dangers, and he tries to frustrate or reconcile with the monster of each
episode.
The main characters of the series are:
1) Courage: he is a dog of an unknown breed, and
violet colour. It is said that he has a sixth sense, and when his owners are in
danger, he takes out his little value and manages to save them, even when he is
scared.
2) Muriel: she is a sweet and adorable old peasant
woman who lives in her old cabin with her husband Eustace and her pet dog
Courage.
3) Eustace: he is a bad man in all the extension of
the word. Moody, rude, unfriendly,
arrogant and, above all, very ambitious, are the characteristics of this old
farmer.
4) Computer: is Courage's best friend. It has the
answers to everything, and can scan not only images, but also objects or traces
of DNA. It usually shows superiority to Courage.
My favourite episode is “Remembrance of Courage
Past," which shows how Courage's parents were kidnapped by an evil
veterinarian who sent them into outer space. I like this episode because it
shows the past of Courage, so we see him when he was a puppy.
I think I keep watching this TV series because, in the
past, this kind of cartoon tried to reach a wider space. They used to make
references and jokes for children and young people and they were not
politically correct. The main purpose of these old cartoons was to make us
laugh, something that today's cartoons have lost.
